We had a great meeting at Climate Week NYC, the biggest climate event on the planet, where we launched the new Pre-CORCs, digital carbon assets to facilitate prepayments of carbon removals.

We also heard from our partners: With a game-changing initiative, Kita, the world’s first carbon insurer, announced they will offer non-delivery risk insurance for carbon removal buyers. We heard from American BioCarbon, who chose to join Puro.earth to sell CORCs from their production of sugarcane bagasse biochar, a production of 100,000 tons of biochar per year (so watch out for their CORC availability in our marketplace soon). And we heard from Climate Impact X, another partner who together with us are pushing forward the growth of the carbon removal industry with the creation of a blended product aligned with the Oxford Principles for Net Zero Aligned Carbon Offsetting, to increase removals over time in offsetting portfolios.
